The city of Lebanon, OR, is located in Linn County, southeast of Salem along the South Santiam River, at the junction of Oregon Route 34 and U.S. Route 20. Lebanon covers 6.6 square miles of land with a population of more than 16,000 people.
Incorporated in 1878, Lebanon today has earned the nickname, the “Land of Love,” along with the motto, “It’s Easier From Here.” The city is home to the world’s largest strawberry shortcake, a part of the annual Strawberry Festival dating back to 1909 and held the first weekend of June. Gills Landing is popular for its boat ramp, dock and camping area, while Ralston Park hosts the town’s Christmas tree and yearly lighting celebration.
